Broken up road surface across railway bridge

Reported via desktop in the Pothole category anonymously at 21:18, Sunday 11 January 2026

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8668541.

There have been a number of potholes on the road over the railway - these have been repaired but have then broken up. The road surface across the bridge and for some metres on either side is a disgrace - drivers need to swerve around the various holes and other defects. This is now at the stage where only surface planing and re-surfacing can restore the road condition.

  • There has been no significant action, the bridge remains something of a chicane to miss the damaged sections.
