Burst water main under tarmac causing flooding

Reported via desktop in the Potholes category anonymously at 15:39, Thursday 8 January 2026

Sent to Richmond upon Thames Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8648315.

I reported a burst water main under the road surface on Holly Road Twickenham TW1 4HF but no one is on site and nothing appears to be done. As such the tarmac is not broken causing vehicle tyres to go down into it and the pavement is flooding. More damage is being caused as this is being left and will cost more to repair. It really is shocking nothing is being done. If this freezes it will be lethal. It is right opposite the exit to the very busy town centre car park

Updates

  • Should read tarmac is NOW breaking up

  • Was FINALLY fixed after more damage to tarmac and so much INCONVENIENCE to those needing to use this very busy area. Thames Water was far too slow to sort it. Awful company

    State changed to: Fixed
