Giant potholes in single road making so hard to avoid

Reported via mobile in the Pothole category anonymously at 15:10, Thursday 8 January 2026

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8648149.

This road has been reported on for over a year. Accidents haw happened as a result of poor road surface and the temporary fills have already been damaged and actually now breaking the road more. A proper resurface is required as this is a road heavily used to connect Burford to Fairford when avoiding Lechlade which many do. Traffic is therefore heavier than usual for a single track and the passing routes are becoming unuseable due to the damage. Ice will only make this worse if action isn’t taken soon
