Unlit and unsigned obstruction

Injured after being flung from bike after impact with solid metal bollard; some bike damage, some heavy bruising and cuts/grazes to legs. My bike lights did not pick out the bollards soon enough. Unlit route. Absence of reflective signs and road marking tapers. This could have easily resulted in serious injury, e.g. fractured limbs and/or internal damage. Swerved to.avoid, legs caught bollard as I fell. The incident has been reported as a near miss to the police. Route requires safety improvements. Thanks for reading.
