Since road 'upgrade', no means for wheelchair user to cross Northgate to Hare Lane from St Aldates

Reported via desktop in the Other damage to pavement i.e. cobbles, raised mound/surface category anonymously at 13:08, Thursday 8 January 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council 1 minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8647133.

Removal of raised road in Northgate ( as seen in Screenshot) and instead raising road in St Aldates , prevents wheelchairs crossing from St Aldates to Hare lane. The removal of raised road in Northgate should have been accompanied by lowered kerb on both sides to enable safe traverse. This was omitted and now the only recourse is to used the raised road in St Aldates St and join traffic carriageways in St Aldates and Northgate.
