No road markings at a junction
Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 17:19, Wednesday 7 January 2026
Sent to West Sussex County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8643163.
There has been no road markings since we moved to this area, nearly 2 years. I have reported this on several occasions and there has been several near Mrs where two cars merged onto the road at the same time.

We moved to the area two years ago and I have made several requests to have the junction between Hammerwood Road and Casiron Lane re marked so it’s clear. It’s only people that know the area well that would know Hammerwood Road has the right way especially when the road is wet it’s even harder to see the faded lines. Delivery drivers not familiar with the area would not necessarily know and I have seen many near collisions. I have notified the council three times in the two years. I get the same reply to say it’s being dealt with and here we are now two years down the line and nothing done. The photo was taken on the 23rd May 2024, it’s even worse now.

Someone has painted on the lines but I don’t think it’s been done by the authorities. I am pleased they have done it as at least it helps people that are not aware of the junction. Terrible, this is ignored time and time again.

Finally the road markings have been done! Great for all road users. Thank you.
