Adjusted to back garden

Sent to East Hertfordshire District Council 4 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 864244.
For two years now we have been trying to find out whose responsibility these trees are. The council mentioned a private owner-we then tracked down a company, then their solicitor but then the council found that the land registry hadn't been updated and that the trees belong to the council's green area. Unfortunately no one is taking responsibility for these trees which have overgrown and are leaning against our fence. These trees need to be cut back. These nine trees would cost us around a thousand pounds a year to keep them properly trimmed. We are also extremely worried as one of the trees is too tall with branches leaning over our garden play area. I hate to find myself in a position of taking legal action in case an accident occurs. This is exactly why I am determined to find who is responsible for these trees in order to ensure the safety of my family and I hope you can help.
