Crow Lane from A45 to Billing Aquadrome a huge mess of potholes

Reported via desktop in the Potholes / Highway Condition category anonymously at 12:39, Wednesday 7 January 2026 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to West Northamptonshire Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8640934.

This road has so many really deep potholes that has not been maintained. The heavy traffic is causing damage. The whole road needs to be made out of stronger material that can handle the heavy traffic and the whole road needs resurfacing. Even the roundabouts are dug up by mcgeorge lorries digging up the side. Needs desperately addressing not ignored for years.

  • This road is absolutely appalling, multiple reports of dangerous holes and only temporary repairs done that last a day or two at best If you were to drive in the moon you would encounter less craters It does not help that there is gravel regularly spilled on the road from the numerous tipper trucks that use this road

Posted anonymously at 16:35, Thursday 12 February 2026

  • This stretch of road is in a disgusting condition, multiple damage, huge potholes.. this cannot continue, it must be properly sorted as a matter of the utmost urgency

Posted anonymously at 12:00, Friday 13 February 2026

  • My daughter has just hit an enormous pot hole as pictured. Caused flat tyre & bent wheel. RAC cannot attend until 3:30am. She only has a little Toyota Aygo. Having to pay for another emergency service as she needs her car for work tomorrow. How do we reclaim costs? This section of road is so dangerous & a disgrace. It’s been reported for months now. Four other cars are in difficulty tonight too. The council are failing us on this. Also allowing the construction of a new logistics park with the consequences of that. Just so ridiculous & infuriating.

Posted anonymously at 21:26, Sunday 15 February 2026

  • Update. My daughter has been told two tyres, same side, need replacing, not one. Again, how do we reclaim? Monies we just cannot afford.

Posted anonymously at 21:33, Sunday 15 February 2026

  • Update: my daughter is still sitting waiting for her car to be repaired & someone has come along, on behalf of the council I presume, & filled in the hole on a temporary basis. Too late for my daughter & her car & the other four cars that shes seen in difficulties tonight.

  • Investigation: Completed (Scheduled Maintenance), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. We are aware of the issues on this road and have identified it as a potential candidate for a future resurfacing scheme.
Due to the road’s proximity to the A45 and surrounding businesses and facilities, carrying out permanent repairs is challenging, as this would require a full road closure. A closure of this nature is complicated further by the weight restriction on the bridge near Cogenhoe. We will continue to ensure the road remains safe by completing permanent repairs where possible. Where permanent repairs cannot be undertaken, we will carry out semi-permanent work and continue to monitor the condition of the road

  • This update is just an excuse, the road has been closed many times due to repairs to the bridge with no major problems, a weekend closure to resurface would only benefit the surrounding business’ It needs resurfacing as a priority

  • This road is close becoming beyond use. Getting more like a third world country road. It needs urgent repair

Posted anonymously at 12:36, Friday 20 February 2026

  • We’ve just been back to the site of where my daughter lost two tyres, as reported 21:30 Sunday 15th Feb. The pot hole is on its way back. Plus more! We tried to retrieve her hub caps (kindly tidied by the litter wombles)) but next pictures show the state of these & some of the road we walked. More cost! The ‘footpath’ is also a disgrace. You really have to walk along there to get a sense of the volume of HGVs, car transporters & Lorrie’s making everything so much worse. Plus will only get worse still due to new logistics hub, who on earth has approved that? Disaster waiting to happen around there, particularly with the children’s nursery slap bang in the middle of the chaos. Council you are failing us.

  • Most of the businesses on crow lane, billing garden centre, residents in the street , I. Cogenhoe and on billing Aquadrome would def approve of a few overnight/ weekend closures of this road if it meant that this problem can be sorted.. this needs doing, and we are tired of excuses.

  • Totally agree with 15:30 comment. Excuse after excuse. REFORM council totally failing us.
