6” deep cracks, and 10inch very sharp crumbling cracks
Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 14:47, Monday 5 January 2026
Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8629719.
The cracks and deeps in the road, have got so incredibly deep, that they make the road impossible for cars, and motorbikes. I have a 4-wheel drive vehicle that bottoms out on the dips. Severe cracking causes the vehicle to lurch towards to the open water drainage channel. This road has become impassible if driving a regular car - last year I lost my vehicle due to the oil sump being ripped off, this was after fitting enhanced height suspension.

Just a word of advice: Whilst Lincolnshire County Council actively provide public updates to all their FixMyStreet reports, Norfolk County Council don't bother to do so. Do make sure that they provide you with an update!

PLEASE HELP (if you haven't already)! If this was Lincolnshire, then Lincolnshire County Council would have been providing prompt, comprehensive, and publicly-available updates to this report, right here on the FixMyStreet website, for everybody to see. Unfortunately, Norfolk County Council don't do that (and they even try to discourage people from actually using FixMyStreet)! Please SIGN THE PETITITION, to urge Norfolk County Council to start collaborating with FixMyStreet, in the same way as Lincolnshire County Council is doing (as well as other places, e.g. Oxfordshire)! PETITION WEB ADDRESS: https://c.org/ Nd7gcrX4Bk (A big thankyou to everybody who has signed the petition so far. We've already exceeded 145 signatures, but let's keep going, to really make an impact on make Norfolk County Council!
