Anti-Social behaviour

Reported anonymously at 09:18, Tue 19 July 2016

Sent to Lambeth Borough Council 2 minutes later

Hillside Passage is a pedestrian cut-through that has attracted ASB for years! Drug dealing, graffiti, acts of vandalism etc. Groups / Gangs of youths congregate in the passage and enjoy intimidating and threatening local residents. Motor-scooters are regularly ridden dangerously through the passage despite the measures specifically put in place to stop this!. Neither the Police nor Lambeth Council have come up with an effective strategy for dealing with these issues! I believe the passage should be closed until a solution to problem can be found. If nothing changes, it can only be a matter of time before someone is seriously hurt or killed.

  • Problems continue. Police firearms officers arrested a man brandishing a firearm in the passage yesterday! I guess the authorities are just waiting for someone to be killed in Hillside Passage before any money is allocated to fixing this problem cut-through.

  • Police and council installed CCTV and increased patrols. Thank you to all concerned.
