Rubbish and fly tipping everywhere

Reported via mobile in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 12:08, Wed 31 December 2025

Sent to Liverpool City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8609731.

The streets surrounding and including Dickens street are unacceptable. The bins are not emptied regularly enough so the rubbish builds up. This then causes the bin lids to not close and rubbish to fly out and cover the streets around. The bins are also not used appropriately as people leave rubbish and fly tip next to them as they are not seen as an individuals problems but instead the streets problem. I’ve lived in the area for 3 years and the problem is only getting worse and worse. These communal bins do not work and instead encourage more mess. I have also seen on several occasions, people in cars turning up at the bins and leaving their rubbish inside and next to. This shows that the bins are not even just being used for that particular street but instead used by people from all over the city.
