Clifton wood road. Dangerous

Reported via iOS in the Uneven surface category anonymously at 15:53, Sat 27 December 2025

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8594656.

The pavement from the junction with Constitution Hill all the way along to Clifton Wood house needs replacing. These were covered with slabs but at some point removed and tarmac put down. This is continually failed and is now a trip hazard along its entire length. The three photos submitted show the general deterioration not just of the overall surface but also at the edges making it unstable, uneven and unsuitable for people with visual impairment or in a wheelchair. This is now a major tourist route that takes people down into Clifton Wood to see the colourful houses. It’s shameful that this has been left deteriorate to such an extent. Also where patching has happened materials were left and then scraped which further damaged the surface of the already damaged pavement. Please, this entire length be re paved. Instead of the patchwork of botched tarmac that we now have.

  • Some patching, but the worst parts haven’t been touched & the repairs are so poor that they’re falling apart after a few days
