Dangerous horses on footpath

Reported via mobile in the Dangerous or intimidating animals category anonymously at 10:20, Tue 23 December 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8584503.

In the field opposite my house, there’s 2 dangerous horses that have now made me scared to walk through. In the most recent event I was screaming for help as the white horse was going up on its back legs and spinning around ready to buck my dog and I. A few times the horse did kick out towards us and we had to run as fast as we could out of the gate. The horses ran fast behind us. I was left shaking and out of breath. The horses have been in the field and intimidating us since we moved in at the end of October. I am very much used to the countryside and my family own horses. I tried to remain as calm as I could (as I know animals pick up on senses), until I really really had to run myself and my dog out of the danger.
