Dog Fouling

We've had an increasing amount of dog fouling on the pavements on our street. We're looking at doorbell footage to see if we can identify the persons responsible. Are we allowed to put up signs saying "No Dog Fouling CCTV in Operation £1000 Fine" or is it something you can do. People with young children are especially annoyed, as it's often the children who step and bring it in to the house and are then very distressed about it.
