Broken footpath and fencing

Reported via mobile in the Pavements/Cycleway category anonymously at 10:25, Fri 19 December 2025

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8568726.

The footpath that runs alongside the school, and the safety fencing that stops people from falling into the verge/trench is broken and has been for some time now.

The broken / collapsed footpath is a safety hazard and could lead to accidents with people tripping/falling over and injuring themselves.

The broken fence is also a safety hazard; it is not longer serving its purpose to stop people from accidentally falling into the ditch, ans in its current broken state it presents itself as dangerous from a risk of cuts / scrapes etc.

It has been this was for many weeks / months now and should be seen as a priority for repair, especially given it is a footpath used daily my families with young children.

  • This has most definitely not been fixed... as you can see from these pictures taken this morning, nothing has been done to repair the fence and ensure the safety of children and residents. If anything, it is more hazardous than before.
