Flooding still

This has been reported multiple times. The latest response said it would be part of the ongoing drain clearance however a drain clearing lorry pulled turned up the other night, attempted to lift the gully and couldn’t so just sprayed around the gully with some water and drove off. As reported previously this drain needs investigating as the gully appears clear but after any sort of rainfall it backs up and floods the road making it dangerous for drivers, cyclists and passers by.

  • Today this has caused flooding on both sides of the road which has meant there is no safe route for cyclists without them having to go onto the path. The drain needs checking urgently before a serious accident occurs.

    It looks like the ground could be subsiding near to the gully. This could be non related but seems strange it’s the only part of this stretch to have sunk
