Footpath hard to locate in church yard

Reported via desktop in the Footpaths/ Rights of way (usually not tarmac) category by Dave and Sheila Follett at 18:41, Sat 13 December 2025

Sent to Norfolk County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8543468.

We had trouble locating the path. We were walking eastwards. A fingerpost beside the road points through the churchyard gates, but then nothing further to help you. We proceeded towards the southeastern corner of the churchyard but were confronted by gravestones and a tree with overgrown suckers, with no obvious way ahead. After some searching we eventually found a broken waymark post, leaning up against a hedge at the edge of the field, but this is only visible once you have actually managed to find your way out of the churchyard. We don't know whether gravestones etc have been put over the path, or where it is supposed to go, but we think it needs to be made much clearer for those who follow.
