Lights change too quickly

Traffic lights on Southgate Street, approaching Bristol Road/ Trier Way / St Ann's Way do not stay on green for very long. This is causing long line of cars backing up on Soutgate Street. This has been seen for a few days now. Sometimes only a couple of cars get through on green.
