2drains have collapsed about 20 ft apart side of road

Reported via iOS in the Drainage category by Nigel Cooper at 19:10, Thu 11 December 2025

Sent to Hampshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8535953.

2 x drains have collapsed about 20 ft apart on side of road near to pavement. Really hazardous as lots of water accumulates and also with the road with a large pothole that’s been very poorly fixed( joke) it’s causing cars to chi lane through the area which is also on a bend. Needs a proper fix not a fix using 1/2 bag tarmac as it opens up again within days.

  • As has become the norm here either it’s not fixed quickly or the fixes are so poor they are back in a few weeks. This is really frustrating to driving or cycling but also to the county’s money management.

  • The centre hole has been poorly fixed but the 2 drains not touched. One has got considerably bigger And has got a cone in it so you have at least a chance to miss it. HCC are failing miserably on roads in the area. Haven’t seen I decent fix on any of the holes I’ve put into the system.
