Over hanging trees and overgrown ivy Narrowing road

Reported in the Trees category anonymously at 17:49, Mon 4 July 2016

Sent to South Cambridgeshire District Council less than a minute later

I recently parked in Old farm close, Histon and received a note from someone saying the road was possibly blocked to emergency vehicles due to my car. My car, a ford focus was parked touching the kerb so could not be any closer to the pavement. Of course across the road I noticed overgrown Leyandii type trees overhanging the road and also Ivy growing into the road from the over run verge. It is a shame the anonymous "Traffic Warden" could not leave their number or pay more attention to the most obvious problem. I then also realised that there is a similar "overgrowing" situation in Clay St between Kingsway and Symonds close. The Parish council where I live often send a reminder to residents to cut back overhanging greenery and trees etc, or else they will take the matter in hand and seek reimbursement from the property owner. So this should be a simple matter to solve and I look forward to seeing more clear kerbs and space, next time I visit Histon.
