Broomfield Rd car park & surrounding access road, flytipping, abondonment of caravan & boat; also health issues concerning misuse of food waste bins
Reported in the Rubbish (refuse and recycling) category anonymously at 07:00, Mon 4 July 2016
Sent to Folkestone and Hythe District Council 5 minutes later. FixMyStreet ref: 852937.
Multiple issues concerning flytipping, plus a derilict caravan & boat have both been abandoned on the service rd for in excess of 12 months. Waste bins used by fast food & restaurants overflowing with discarded organic matter and lids not secured. Additionaly; alleyways connecting car parking facility to Risborough Lane & also Cheriton High St have severe litter problems; both these public thoroughfares adjoin food outlets & all to often have the unpleasant, unsanitary odour of urine (human?) with cannine faeces also regularly on display!..I have never witnessed council operatives active in this area other than once a week on refuse collection days & would ask : "who is responsible for ensuring health & cleanliness laws are adhered to (and maintained) in my parish?"

Council were very slow to react & only seem to apply 'lip service' to multiple problems reported, without actualy implementing their powers to persue & prosecute offenders. Eyesore & dangerous derilict caravan still remains even after promises that it would be removed by the end of July (2016). Fly tipping has little altered & commercial waste bins still overflow with food waste.
