Urgent traffic management required

Reported via desktop in the Poor repairs (reinstatement) category anonymously at 10:30, Wed 10 December 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8527490.

Severe traffic disruption at Hunts Grove due to A38 junction works.

Over the past week, traffic leaving the estate has become gridlocked for long periods, with a normal 5-minute journey taking up to 90 minutes. This is happening throughout the day, not just at peak times.

The impact on residents is now serious: children are late for school, people are missing work and appointments, buses cannot run to timetable, and many residents feel effectively trapped as there is only one functioning exit for the entire estate.

No traffic management is in place, and the estate is coming to a standstill for hours at a time.

Residents are urgently requesting:

- Manual traffic control or temporary measures to keep vehicles moving.

- Reopening Haresfield Lane, even temporarily, to relieve pressure.

- Action on persistent flooding on Naas Lane, which is worsening the situation.

This has now become an accessibility and welfare issue. Immediate intervention and clear communication for residents are urgently needed.
