Atrocious road surface
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8526955.
Large stretch of road is covered in pot holes which are impossible and dangerous to dodge. One previously repaired a short while ago has opened back up and shed the tarmac across the road and is currently filled with water so is difficult to see. A dangerous situation and an accident waiting to happen. This stretch of road has been in a poor state of repair for a number of years and needs to be addressed as a matter of urgency.

Despite this being submitted via reference 8526955 on 10/12/2025 and being actioned to be fixed on 22/12/2025, we’re now on 4/2/26 and this appalling road surface hasn’t been repaired, it’s held together by potholes that are impossible to dodge and is so dangerous and becoming more damaged by the day.

There are significant large holes on the road heading from Filkins to Kencot. They are just after the sign that says the road bends to the right. They are so deep to take avoiding action means swerving onto the other side of the road, which is a hazard Although road surface failed signs have been put up, even if cars slow down the holes are so large that damage to vehicles is likely to happen or worst a head on collision. I was in fact heading home towards Filkins and a car was on my side of the road on Tuesday 12th May.
