My original report to the council was made on or around 6 December 2025. It was accepted and was reported back to me that it had been 'cleared' and the case was CLOSED. I again visited the SAME drain location on 27 December 2025 and noticed that although the surface leaves had all gone the drain was STILL COMPLETELY BLOCKED by MUD thereby preventing the drain to accept any surface water. I will now COPY this report to my local MP for Orpington Mt Gareth BACON because I have given Bromley Borough the opportunity to clear the drain correctly and they have FAILED miserably.

Although this road drain has been partially cleaned at the surface level. It has now revealed that one of the large 'tines' which form the actual drainage entrance is missing and has left a large hole where the tine should be. Upon further examination of the area BELOW the drain entrance (where the surface water is supposed to enter) you can clearly see that the whole area where rain water is supposed to go is ABSOLUTELY FULL WITH MUD thereby leaving NO ROOM FOR WATER TO DRAIN AWAY. To clear this huge amount of mud is will require a 'road SLUDGE GULPER suction. Please attend to this as well as REPLAVING the BROKEN DRAIN COVE ITSELF......Thank you.
