I would like to report a significant hole on the pavement of Dovehouse lane, adjacent to house number 131 and near the green post pictured. The defect is a deep hole, approximately 2 metre in diameter, which appears to be the site of a recently removed street tree. The ground was not properly backfilled and resurfaced, resulting in a large, muddy hole that now holds water. This constitutes a significant trip hazard for pedestrians, especially as its depth is obscured when filled with rainwater. It is also unsightly and affects the appearance of the public area. Please can this former tree pit be safely and permanently repaired with a proper tarmac surface.
