Thick Mud and Leaves

Reported via desktop anonymously at 13:06, Tue 9 December 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council and South Oxfordshire District Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8523258.

This heavily used footpath (this also includes cycles prams scooters etc) between Lydalls Close and Smallbone Recreation Park has the same problem every winter and wet weather ie the thick mud either side of the footpath encroaches the path, it covers the tarmac which then gets a layer of leaves that are deposited by the the leaf blowers used in the park.

During icy weather this then becomes impassable and dangerous. Please note this footpath is next to a busy school as well as being the main route for residents on foot to the Town Centre, GP surgeries, the play park, bowling green etc

The middle part of the footpath just gets narrower every year due to the mud banks building up and not being removed,
