Hedge Blocking Pavement.

Reported via desktop by Mike Ponsonby at 13:04, Tue 9 December 2025

Sent to Solihull Borough Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8523237.

Good Morning Friends, despite reporting this twice before. The Hedge in front of 21 Union Rd, Shirley is so overgrown that it is now blocking 50% of the width of Pavement outside 21 Union Rd. Please ask the Property owner to cut back the hedge to the perimeter of his boundary line. Thank you and Kind Regards, Mike Ponsonby

Updates

  • Property Owner has Cut this Hedge on His side, but not Cut the Hedge on the Pavement side, which is where the Obstruction Lay. Please Inspect and ask the Property owner to Reduce the Width of this Hedge on the Pavement side as overgrown width is an Obstruction for my Mum of 101 yrs in her wheelchair ???

    Kind Regards Mike Ponsonby

  • Only yesterday 2nd Feb, I passed this house again and noted that the Hedge is still Blocking the Pavement and restricting its width for Disabled persons in a Wheelchair like my Mum of 101 yrs. Please remind the Property owner that he must cut his head on Pavement side ? (Not the Top, nor the Garden side). Kind Regards Mike Ponsonby
