As outlined at http://www.bromley.gov.uk/ fixservices untaxed vehicles cannot be impounded immediately, and Bromley must adhere to the interim period (typically one month) given by the DVLA before any action can be taken and then the timeframes for any tax warning served.

I saw a formal notice on the car dated 8 January 2026 which I guess has triggered the formal process. Can you advise if my understanding is correct?
Noting that this vehicle has been parked in the same spot since at a minimum July 2024.
Since 01 December 2025, this has been untaxed.
