Dangerous and intimidating cattle. No sign warning of bull in field on footpath entry to fields.

Reported via desktop in the Dangerous or intimidating animals category anonymously at 22:53, Sun 7 December 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8514341.

Minsterworth Footpath 25. EMW25. OS Grid Ref: SO 78907 17319 Lat. long: 51.85406, -2.30765

On Sunday 30th November, we walked along this public right of way across this field entering from the south. When we got to the north part of the field a herd of cattle came in to view in this field which blocked our way through along the footpath to the exit at the north side. The cattle then approached us and got very close in a way that felt dangerous and intimidating. The only clear way for us to proceed to safety was to return back along the footpath to our point of entry. The cattle pursued us. We were very worried that the cattle would block off our exit. One of the cattle was a bull. There was no visible sign declaring there is a bull in this field.

I wish to report dangerous and intimidating cattle in this field and a concern that a bull is being kept in the field with a public path illegally.
