As Ruscote ward councillor I can escalate this matter however from experience any alteration to grass verges like wooden bollards would have to be installed by residents at their own expense.

Thank you for your report. If you encounter everyday parking issues, please get in touch with us through the Oxfordshire County Council’s website: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ residents/ roads-and-transport/ parking . For situations where vehicles are causing dangerous obstructions, hazards, or parking illegally, you can contact the non-emergency police telephone line at 101. Additionally, if you would like to request changes to existing parking restrictions, feel free to reach out to Oxfordshire County Council’s parking team via https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ residents/ roads-and-transport/ parking/ civil-enforcement.
There is an option for placing verge posts at this location. For more detailed information, I would recommend visiting our public website, where we have a dedicated page on verges. Additionally, it may be worthwhile for the resident to reach out to their Town Council, as they might be able to assist with potential funding as OCC would not be able to pay for or maintain the posts.
