Street light 27 hasn't been fixed
Reported via desktop in the Lamp Out of Light category anonymously at 19:44, Fri 5 December 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8508016.
Please cross reference with report 8452256, which has been flagged as fixed. This street light hasn't been fixed, it's never worked since being fitted. The light is number 27 on the new installation where the road has been widened on the A417. Number 27 is on the left when exiting Cottage Road on to the A417. This system doesn't allow number 27 to be flagged, it only allows number 1 to be flagged on the junction, it isn't number 1, it is 27 which is clearly marked on the lamp post.

Thanks for the report. We do not appear to manage any streetlight no 27 in the area. We suggest trying the developer.

You have stated in the previous report 8452256 that the street light number 27 has been fixed, and now you state that you don't manage street light 27. So how can you have fixed light 27 when it isn't managed by you? May I suggest that you actually visit the site of the highway of the recently installed street lights on the main road, the A417, where the junction of Cottage road meets the A417 where the road has recently been widened by the Highways department. There you will find street light 27 which is clearly marked on the lamp post itself. It's easy to find as it's the only one in a long line that isn't working. Clearly, no one has actually visited the site that forms part of the highway that doesn't belong to the developer. The light isn't on the map yet as it is so new, and not working. Thank you.
