Drain cover missing from on drain on the A44 near Fowlers barn farm

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8496434.

Reported to police at weekend still not fixed. Drain cover missing leaving a hole some 15 cm deep in the carriageway. Definitely a real hazard to cyclists, motor cyclists and cars/vans.

  • I hit this at night on 27/3/26. Thought I had got away with it but noticed my tyre bulging a few days later.

  • Just hit this today and notice damage to my car tyre which will require a replacement. Astonishing to see that it's been present since early December.
