  • These potholes are deteriorating rapidly and are dangerous for vehicles exiting roundabout towards Souldern/Aynho.

Posted anonymously at 15:55, Thursday 22 January 2026

  • Please fix these, we have already had to pay out for 4 tyres this year due to the quality of the roads.

  • These potholes are now dangerous as vehicles change direction to avoid. Please do not waste time and effort trying to patch them individually there are too many and too close together and individually repaired will fail and need to be repaired in no time. Please utilise the council budget properly, dig out the area and relay the tarmac properly to save, time, effort and money.

  • The surface (or lack of) is delaminating and is now extremely dangerous. If this is not resurfaced quickly there is likely to be a major accident

  • There are now so many potholes as you exit the roundabout it is very difficult to avoid all of them without considerable weaving.

  • Fix these potholes now, you incompetent fools.

  • I have previously reported these potholes and received an update advising these had been fixed - one had but the team did not touch the rest of the potholes and broken road surface. These are very difficult to avoid coming off on the B4100 and this will either cause an accident or even more cars will be subject to damaged tires/wheels. This has been ongoing for months and months - getting worse by the week.

  • Passing here every day, now 10 holes you cannot avoid. Please fix

  • For an extremely busy exit on a major roundabout. Get this sorted

Like doing a downhill slalom with a 98% chance of hitting a gate

  • A large group of potholes here make it impossible to leave the roundabout safely. You have to slow right down while people are pulling out from the busy dual carriageway lanes expecting you to do the opposite and be speeding up to leave the roundabout. Extremely dangerous not to mention the inevitable damage caused to tyres.

  • Still not fixed on a really dangerous exit from the roundabout have to slow down and weave across the road to try and avoid as many as possible, damaging tyres and car suspension

Posted anonymously at 17:25, Friday 20 February 2026

  • Dangerous with cars swerving to miss these potholes cars slowing erratically as they leave the roundabout. I fear an accident as a direct cause of this with full liability would be with the council due to their negligence (reported in December)

Posted anonymously at 15:23, Sunday 22 February 2026

  • As others have said, these are getting worse and worse and are going to cause an accident soon!

Posted anonymously at 17:32, Tuesday 24 February 2026

  • Really really dangerous. The roundabout is bad enough when coming from Bicester to Aynho without having to negotiate potholes as well. Even when you know they are there you cannot avoid them. PLEASE FIX THEM PROPERLY.

  • From Cllr Liam Walker

If you’ve suffered damage to your vehicle due to a pothole on a county council maintained road, you can submit a claim to Oxfordshire County Council. Here’s a simple step-by-step guide:

1️⃣ Gather evidence ▪️Photos of the pothole (clear, close-up, and wider shots to show location). ▪️Photos of the damage to your vehicle. ▪️Date, time, and exact location of the incident.

2️⃣ Keep records ▪️Repair quotes or invoices. ▪️Any recovery or breakdown receipts. ▪️Details of any witnesses (if available).

3️⃣ Report the pothole ▪️Make sure the pothole is reported via the Council’s online reporting system (if it hasn’t already been) which can be done here: https://fixmystreet.oxfordshire.gov.uk/

4️⃣ Submit a claim ▪️Complete the highways damage claim form on the Oxfordshire County Council website here: https://www.oxfordshire.gov.uk/ transport-and-travel/ street-maintenance-z/ compensation#paragraph-3985 ▪️Upload all your evidence and supporting documents.

ℹ️ Important to know ▪️Claims are assessed against whether the Council was aware of the defect and if it met intervention levels under their inspection regime.

⏳ Submitting clear evidence early can really help.

  • These potholes have been here for months and are only getting worse. They’re impossible to avoid due to the amount of them across the entire with of the road. They’re getting deeper and even at a crawling speed make a horrible noise when you hit them, each time I’m worried I’ll damage a tyre.

  • Why on earth have these not been fixed yet!! They are shockingly bad, What’s the point of logging them if it just gets ignored. Absolutely ridiculous and an accident waiting to happen.

  • If a motorcyclist hits these pot holes unaware of there presence, they will DIE. The first report for this was December 2025, we are nearly in April. This is a main road and heavily used roundabout, get it fixed and fixed properly now! This council and its officers are not fit for purpose.

  • "Actioned to be fixed" by the council on 21st January.I know the council doesn't state a timeframe for said action or said fix, but come on, but it's now almost the end of March!

  • Super dangerous now Given this us between a service station and a major highway as well as on the country’s busiest B road this has to be immediate priority

Posted anonymously at 14:42, Wednesday 25 March 2026

  • Now causing card and heavy lotteries to brake sharply and swerve at very busy junction, there is significant risk of accidents. This has been on the list since December 2025.

  • How can these potholes fail to meet the councils urgent fix criteria ??? A serious accident is just a matter of when not if landing the council in serious trouble of negligence

Posted anonymously at 10:29, Tuesday 31 March 2026

  • Going to cost more in claims than the repairs, 4 months of being made aware
