Investigation: Completed (Defect Found), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. A qualified Highways Inspector has assessed the location and we can confirm that in accordance with the WNC Highways Inspection Manual, the flooding has been assessed and requires a Priority 4 response. We will schedule drainage investigation work to be completed within 26 weeks. When the investigation has been completed, we will inform you of our findings and course of action. Our current average response time for a Priority 4 is 59 days.

The section of road from The Mill to Beachampton Road recently had the hedgerow removed by Parks Trust at the request of West Northants Council. It is understood that they were asked to cut back the bushes but, instead, removed them. This has exposed the edge of the road and a drop of around six inches for much of the distance from the Mill to the bridge by Beachampton Road. This is very dangerous. Cars have slipped off the road and into the fence. It is more dangerous when the fields either side are flooded up to the road edge because you can’t see the drop.
