Water coming up through pavement

Reported via iOS in the Pavements/footpaths category anonymously at 14:52, Wed 26 November 2025

Sent to Glasgow City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8468437.

A steady stream of clear water is coming up through the pavement. It then runs down the pavement before going onto the road. Because the first drain is blocked it then has to flow to next drain. When this freezes it becomes a dangerous sheet of ice.

  • Just to update scottish water came out in March and tested that its not coming from fresh water pipes. Its a council drain issue. The passed the details to council twice now.

  • Pass the SW ref #s onto your MSP and ask them to chase it. Mine has chased the council w/o referring me back to councillors.
