Car parked on the pavement

Reported via desktop in the Car parking category anonymously at 10:03, Tue 25 November 2025

Sent to Leeds City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8461717.

This car parked on the pavement 24/7, parked on the pavement most of the time, causing Inconvenience to pedestrians. Pedestrian walkways are for pedestrians, not for parking. Now, most of my daily commute involves dangerous walking on the road to avoid this footpath parked vehicle.

Legal standing Obstruction: Pavement parking can be an offence if it obstructs pedestrians, wheelchair users, or people with pushchairs. This is covered under the Highways Act 1980.

Updates

  • This needs reporting to the police who can ticket cars blocking paths. The council have no powers to move it, if it’s taxed
