Dangerous
Reported via mobile in the Road Defect category anonymously at 20:02, Mon 24 November 2025
Sent to Bromley Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8460071.
I keep having to report this because you keep removing my post. Other have reported this over a long period of time but you seem unwilling to provide an actual date this will be repaired. As I’ve said on fix my street and on the phone this is dangerous and should be a priority, particularly given its proximity to a primary school. I have contacted a local Councillor today and will be investigating other ways I can escalate this as the situation simply cannot go on. When the temperature freezes there will be accidents here and I am keeping copies of how many times I report this dangerous situation to the council. If you can email a date for the repair I won’t need to keep on adding these requests and you won’t have to keep removing them.

There are multiple reports at this location spanning a period of months for the current issue and years for this same problem at this drain. It’s dangerous but you’ve suggested that no further action is required?

The area has been made safe until the correct drainage can be installed.

Unfortunately I don’t agree that this is now safe. There is still water pooling in the area which will be dangerously if / when it freezes. It’s particularly likely to result in an injury due to its proximity to Hayes Primary and the number of people who use this area. Could you elaborate on what ‘until the correct drainage can be installed’ means? Why can’t it be installed now? As I’ve mentioned above, reports for this have been logged for months and the repairs have been ongoing for years so it’s very disappointing that this hasn’t been fully repaired. When will this be fixed properly?

I suggest someone from the council walks along this section of road/pavement today to see how safe it is today.
