Cover lifts in rain

Reported via iOS in the Pavements/footpaths category by Michael Morton at 18:10, Mon 20 June 2016

Sent to Lincolnshire County Council 5 minutes later

The manhole cover on the footpath near Bowls Club lifts every time it rains. This never used to happen but seems to have started since the building of the NKDC housing at Bonner Close. Water pours out from cover during rainfall suggesting a possble restriction or blockage in the drain. When the rain stops the cover sometimes falls back into place but is often displaced causing a trip hazard.

Updates

  • Still open, via questionnaire, 13:26, Tue 19 July 2016

  • The area of the path around the cover has been repaired by laying new tarmac. However the problem of the drain not coping in heavy rain has not been addressed as far as I am aware.
