  • Investigation: Completed (Scheduled Maintenance), Defect Repair: Not Started - Thank you for your enquiry. We are aware of the issues on this road and have identified it as a potential candidate for a future resurfacing scheme.
Due to the road’s proximity to the A45 and surrounding businesses and facilities, carrying out permanent repairs is challenging, as this would require a full road closure. A closure of this nature is complicated further by the weight restriction on the bridge near Cogenhoe. We will continue to ensure the road remains safe by completing permanent repairs where possible. Where permanent repairs cannot be undertaken, we will carry out semi-permanent work and continue to monitor the condition of the road

  • You say this road needs a fill road closure. Fine, so close it - overnight if necessary - like the recent A45 resurfacing.

  • This road is a joke and it's about time it was fixed, you can close the road where the bridge is for weeks, why can you not do this over a few nights like other busy roads, Instead of waiting to see if you get seperate money alocated from the government.

  • Thank you for your update but if you are not willing to close the road ASAP to repair and I can not swerve to avoid traffic then you will have a very big fine and possible a tragedy

  • Thank you but I ride a motorbike and have swerved many time to avoid coming of my motorbike. THIS road needs closed and repaired ASAP and repaired. If i swerve to avoid the very bad holes and have an accident or come off my motorbike as this has been reported various times. I fell it would have to be taken to the local paper.

  • As many many others have said, this needs sorting now, it’s dangerous and beyond a joke. The residents and businesses in this area demand that it gets a proper resurface, not filling in a few pit holes. A few months ago there was even graffiti protest sprayed on the road, this is the strength of felling on this.. does it need a petition or intervention from the media to highlight this.
