Faded road markings

Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8434024.

The One Way road and cycle lane markings on New High Street are faded. Drivers turning into the one way street need a reminder! Some drivers are ignoring the signage and are driving out onto the London Road. Please can these faded road markings be given priority? Many thanks

  • Thank you for your report. However the road marking saying "ONE WAY" is not authorised for use on the public highway and had been installed in error by a previous administration. Consequently we have been allowing this to wear away due to the high cost of line marking removal.

    We will however be reviewing the arrows and other markings.
