Lights around the park are off

We run regularly around tyn y Bryn park at 5.30am and although the lampposts on the main road are on, the lampposts around the park are off and the park is pitch black, we have had to buy headtorches, buy personal attack alarms and high reflective gear and run in pairs to feel safe and that isn’t acceptable. South Wales Police and Welsh Athletics have tried to campaign to make running in the nights safer but the morning is just as dark. One of the girls fell and we couldn’t see her to help and she was shouting for help so we’ve bought alarms in case someone falls so they can signal for help and one of our ladies is 68! This is really not acceptable and we shouldn’t have to pay to feel safe. The main road is lit with streetlights but the park is pitch black as you can see from the pictures. Please please please can you turn on the park street lights asap to allow us to run at 5.30am and feel safe x
