Road narrowing and traffic dealys

Reported via desktop in the Road marking white lines or studs category anonymously at 20:00, Monday 17 November 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8432423.

The new layout of the road at the junction of the B4063 and Pirton is an accident waiting to happen. The road is now narrowed and the traffic that needs to turn right is at risk of being hit by cars coming around the corner or hit on the passenger side due to reduced road space. The lights are causing huge queues both at this junction and also the lights at the Hare and Hounds are not functioning in a sensible sequence. School traffic is causing delays for cars coming from Parton Road and Pirton Lane. Since putting the cycle lane adjacent to the B4063 the disruption and traffic issues have increased immensely and with increased development at Imjin Barracks and more property development along the B4063 is making the area, more polluted and dangerous .Please can a traffic survey be carried out to review the traffic flows in the rush/ school drop and pick up times along this road and the junctions of the Hare and Hounds the Pirton Corner to try to resolve this please?
