Blocked gullys and water running down road now freezing on roundabout

Reported via mobile in the Roads/highways category anonymously at 15:48, Mon 17 November 2025

Sent to Rhondda Cynon Taf Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8431419.

First reported 22nd Sep 25 nothing done by RCT highways and now it's a freezing issue and road hazard expecially to motorcycles. Water is running down the main road to and from Gilfach A4093, There are blocked road gullys (vegetation is growing from them as they are full) and a potential issue with verge drainage on the road from Gillfach to Tonyrefail that is giving a constant flow of water onto the road even when no rain. The water is flowing down the road past the entrance to mountain View estate and creating a wet road surface. As we head into winter there is a risk this will freeze leading to treacherous road conditions for vehicles and pedestrians alike. This area is used by children to walk to school and for school busses so needs to be investigated urgently before there is an accident. Issue has only become apparent in the last few weeks.
