Sent to Gloucestershire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8419822.
Good afternoon my name is Mr. Gilbert. I live on Elmfield Road Cheltenham GL51 9JJ. The road and the pavement on Elmfield Road are absolutely worn out and needs servicing not just repairing potholes. The whole road is worn out. It is now that bad with some of our friends Refused to come down the road because of the damage it does to their cars. I know you’re probably pretty pushed at the moment I have reported this before but nothing‘s been done. The road is completely worn out. I’ve lived here 20 years and it’s never been resurfaced so please would somebody come and look at it? Enfield Road feed Saint Peter School there is an awful lot of traffic between 840 and 910 and 340 and 310 probably doesn’t help. Would someone get back to me and let me know what’s happening? My number is 07836354401 Thank you

Thank you for reporting a pothole.
First, a safety inspector will visit the location to assess whether a repair needs to be completed and plan the work needed. Works are prioritised based on the urgency of the situation. The council aim to repair all significant potholes (more than 4cm deep and 30cm wide) within 28 days.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
We will provide updates about this report.
On our website you can read about five key actions we’re taking to strengthen the county’s roads. Visit www.gloucestershire.gov.uk/highways/roads/potholes to find out more.

This pothole report has now been passed to the Safety Inspection Team for assessment.
A safety inspector will make an assessment of the work needed and they will consider a number of factors, including the flow of traffic and the size of the pothole.
If repair work is required, the pothole will either be classed as urgent or will be put into a planned programme of works to ensure it is repaired as efficiently as possible. We aim to complete the repair work within 28 days.
In some cases a temporary repair will be needed, to make the area safe, then engineers will return to make a permanent repair.
An update on the outcome of the safety inspection will be provided.
