I cannot exit my house from the front door due to flooding and hole in tarmac of street. 122 Lower Cheltenham Place BS6 5LEin street directly on my front door,

Reported via desktop in the Flooding/Gully/Drainage category anonymously at 13:10, Fri 14 November 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8419074.

The street damage and blocked drain - both of which are directly in front of my front door - are a major safety hazard. Particularly since I broke my back last year! I can't upload pictures yet - mobile reception here is patchy, but basically, there is a hole in the street tarmac directly in front of my door step and this and a large surrounding area are small lakes - this is partly due to a blocked drain (also directly in front of my house. I also have concerns about the increasing damp in my basement and potential impact on electrics.

  • I still cannot get out of my front door due to a small lake in front of it. This is problematic, as I broke my back last year. My kitchen and dining room are full of small flies, so this is another health issue. When is the drain going to be fixed - please also note that there is also a hole in the pavement in front of my door and this will eventually mean rainwater entering my basement,.
