Rain water not draining away
Reported via mobile in the Blocked Drain / Gully category anonymously at 13:06, Fri 14 November 2025
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8419049.
I have reported this before and some of the drains were cleared but not all. This is a real concern as our curb stones could start to erode if water persists in laying here. We paid a lot of money to have a dropped curb. There are also cracks in the road near our house (31). Please can this be investigated and ensure all drains cleared. Parked cars have prevented this in the past.

Still waiting for this problem to be fixed still getting a massive puddle outside the house this standing water has eroded part of our dropped curb which we spent a lot of money to have done. The drain at the top of sands way needs to be cleared out urgently due to the amount of rainfall we are having. Please update!

After yet more rainfall again our dropped curb is sitting in a puddle caused by the drain further up being completely blocked photo attached. Please can you update me as to when you will be clearing this drain as I think it would help to lesson the puddle caused when we have heavy rain.

The curb stone actually moves now because of it eroding due to this water problem. Can I make a claim for a new curb stone as it was costly to have this dropped curb put in. Please update me before I seek legal advice as to how you are going to address this problem.

Lorry turned up today so I was hopeful the drain causing the issue would be suctioned out as previously advised it is full to the top level with the road. Asking the driver if he was here to clear the drain he advised only doing emergencies. Obviously this was not classed as one and he’s driven off without even attempting to empty the drain. Not at all happy after you updated me to say that the issue would be fixed. I hope you will pay for a new dropped curb when mine gets worse with laying water and drivers thinking it’s amusing to drive at speed through the water splashing up my driveway. Kindest regards Sarah
