Leaves on road
Sent to Oxfordshire County Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8416756.
There are 2 large sycamore trees opposite my house which create a mass of leaf debris. Every autumn I spend a lot of time clearing them from my property. The leaves also block the drains and gutters in the road which can cause a build up of surface water. Please can the streets be cleaned more regularly. I did try clearing the leaves myself. By chance a worker from Ubico was cleaning the pavement and gutter opposite near the school today but was unable to take my 3 sacks of leaves as his vehicle was too small. I put the leaves back on the road in the hope they would be cleaned up later but this did not happen. Also can something be done about the trees opposite my property. I believe they are the responsibility of the highways are they are growing on a verge which is maintained by the council occasionally. They are too high and cut down on light as well creating an autumnal nuisance from their fallen leaves .
