Large shrubs growing around stone pillar

Reported via desktop in the Obstruction blocking access category anonymously at 13:38, Thu 13 November 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8414518.

Since the temporary fencing was erected around the stone pillar at the top of Oakfield Grove, nearly 5 years ago (which is another source of annoyance to residents, pedestrians and commercial vehicles), large shrubs are taking hold around the base of the pillar, which will only make the situation worse. Clearly, the permanent fixing of the pillar needs to be expedited - it has been raised numerous times by residents but we've heard nothing of a commitment to a date or repairs. In the meantime it has become an eyesore in this conversation area.
