Abandoned vehicle

Reported via desktop in the A vehicle abandoned on your property category anonymously at 18:20, Wed 12 November 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro

Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8410786.

We manage a commercial office building in Bristol on behalf of our client, Clarart Ltd and recently we have had an issue with a Vauxhall Combo Reg. VN03 WFW parked in our basement car park. After initial local enquires with our tenants, the residential tenants and all our contractors, we were unable to trace the owner. We therefore placed a sign on the vehicle advising the owner that they were illegally parking and gave them notice that they must remove their van from off site, otherwise we would report it to the local authority. This time period lapsed, and I completed and sent off a V888 to try and trace the owner as per the advice on Bristol City Council’s website. Since then, we were alerted by one of our tenants that the van had been vandalised and its rear back window smashed in. My major concern is we also have the secondary issue of homeless persons sleeping within the car park at night and with suspected alcohol/drug taking, this van is a further target for vandalism and also a fire risk with what appears to be a gas canister in the rear of the van. We reported this to the Police using the 101 service Wednesday 12.11.25. Police advised the vehicle was not reported as stolen and advised us to report this issue to Bristol City Council.
