Reoccurring Pothole
Reported via desktop in the Roads category anonymously at 14:13, Wednesday 12 November 2025 using FixMyStreet Pro
Sent to Bristol City Council less than a minute later. FixMyStreet ref: 8409531.
This large hole was "repaired" Thursday 6 October and less than 1 WEEK later the repair has failed and large chunks of tarmac are spilling out of the hole!!!!
This has been repaired approximately 6 times in a few months!!!!! One car has already reported a trye blow out and still this can not be repaired properly.
There is clearly a problem with this bridge!!! Water is coming up from underneath the road surface and this is not helped by the blocked drains on this road.

A pothole in this location claimed one of my tyres a couple of years ago, it has been "repaired" countless times but still reappears ever few weeks (sometimes after days!). This must be costing a fortune to continuously fix and pay out damage claims for any cars who hit it. The underlying cause needs to be investigated and resolved rather than continuing to do these short term repairs.

We've investigated this enquiry and believe it relates to the same issue that we've seen via a separate enquiry and appropriate action has already been taken. For example, a job may have been raised with our contractors for repair or the issue is not the responsibility of Bristol City Council.
